बहुत से लोग भगवान शिव के सभी 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों का दर्शन नहीं कर पाते हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में, आप प्रतिदिन द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंग स्तोत्र का अर्थ सहित पाठ कर सकते हैं। शिव महापुराण के अनुसार, इस स्तोत्र का पाठ करने से व्यक्ति को वही फल प्राप्त होता है, जो सभी ज्योतिर्लिंगों के दर्शन से मिलता है।
द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंग स्तोत्र की रचना आदि शंकराचार्य जी ने की थी, जिसमें उन्होंने भगवान शिव के सभी ज्योतिर्लिंगों की महिमा का विस्तार से वर्णन किया है।
भगवान शिव भारत के 12 विभिन्न स्थानों पर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्वरूप में विद्यमान हैं। हिन्दू धर्म शास्त्रों के अनुसार, जो भी व्यक्ति इन 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों का दर्शन कर लेता है, वह अपने समस्त पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है।
द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिङ्ग स्तोत्रम् में प्रयोग किये गए संस्कृत के कठिन शब्दों को कुबेरेश्वर धाम की टीम ने संस्कृत के शब्दों को लघु रूप में लिखा है जिसे पढ़ना आपके लिए आसान हो जायेगा।
भक्ति-प्रदानाय कृपा-वतीर्णं तं सोमनाथं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ १ ॥
जो अपनी भक्ति प्रदान करने हेतु अति रमणीक तथा निर्मल सौराष्ट्र प्रदेश में दयापूर्वक अवतरित हुए हैं, चन्द्रमा जिसके मस्तक का आभूषण है, उन ज्योतिर्लिङ्गस्वरूप भगवान् श्री सोमनाथ की शरण में मैं जाता हूँ
तमर्जुनं मल्लिक-पूर्वमेकं नमामि संसार-समुद्र-सेतुम् ॥ २ ॥
जो ऊँचाई के आदर्श पर्वतों से भी ऊँचे श्रीशैल के शिखर पर, जहाँ देवताओं का समागम होता रहता है, प्रसन्न मुद्रा में निवास करते हैं तथा जो संसार रूपी सागर को पार कराने के लिये सेतु के समान हैं, उन एकमात्र प्रभु श्री मल्लिकार्जुन को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ
अवन्तिकायां विहिता-वतारं मुक्ति-प्रदानाय च सज्जनानाम् ।
अकाल-मृत्योः परिरक्षणार्थं वन्दे महाकाल-महासुरेशम् ॥ ३ ॥
जिन्होंने सज्जन पुरुषों को मोक्ष देने हेतु अवन्तिपुरी में अवतरित हुए, उन महाकाल नाम से प्रसिद्द महादेव को मैं अकालमृत्यु से रक्षा के लिये नमस्कार करता हूँ
कावेरिका-नर्मदयोः पवित्रे समागमे सज्जन-तारणाय ।
सदैव मान्धातृ-पुरे वसन्त मोङ्कार-मीशं शिवमेक-मीडे ॥ ४ ॥
जो सत्पुरुषों को संसार रूपी सागर से पार करने हेतु कावेरी और नर्मदा के पवित्र संगम के समीप मान्धाता के पुर में सदा निवास करते हैं, उन अद्वितीय कल्याणकारी भगवान् ॐकारेश्वर का मैं स्तवन करता हूँ
पूर्वोत्तरे प्रज्वलिका-निधाने सदा वसन्तं गिरिजा-समेतम् ।
सुरासुरा-राधित-पादपद्मं श्रीवैद्यनाथं तमहं नमामि ॥ ५ ॥
जो पूर्व-उत्तर दिशा में चिताभूमि अर्थात वैद्यनाथ धाम के भीतर सदा ही माँ पार्वती के संग वास करते हैं , देवता और असुर भी जिनके चरण-कमलों की आराधना करते हैं, उन श्री वैद्यनाथ को मैं नमन करता हूँ
सद्भक्ति-मुक्ति-प्रदमीश-मेकं श्रीनागनाथं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ ६ ॥
जो दक्षिण दिशा के अति रमणीक सदङ्ग नगर में विभिन्न भोगों से सम्पन्न होकर सुन्दर आभूषणों से सुशोभित हो रहे हैं, जो एकमात्र सद्भक्ति और मुक्ति दोनों को हीं देनेवाले हैं, उन प्रभु श्री नागनाथ की मैं शरण में जाता हूँ
महाद्रिपार्श्वे च तटे रमन्तं सम्पूज्य-मानं सततं मुनीन्द्रैः ।
सुरा-सुरैर्यक्ष-महोर-गाद्यैः केदार-मीशं शिवमेक-मीडे ॥ ७ ॥
जो महागिरि हिमालय के निकट केदारशृङ्ग के तट पर सदैव निवास करते हुए मुनी श्रेष्ठों द्वारा पूजे जाते हैं तथा देवता, असुर, यक्ष और महान् सर्प आदि भी जिनका पूजन करते हैं, उन एक कल्याण कारक भगवान् श्री केदारनाथ का मैं स्तवन करता हूँ
यद्दर्शनात्पातक-माशु नाशं प्रयाति तं त्र्यम्बक-मीश-मीडे ॥ ८ ॥
जो गोदावरी तट के पवन क्षेत्र में सह्यपर्वत के विमल शिखर पर निवास करते हैं, जिनके दर्शन मात्र से शीघ्र ही पातक नष्ट हो जाता है, उन श्री त्र्यम्बकेश्वर का मैं स्तवन करता हूँ
श्रीरामचन्द्रेण समर्पितं तं रामेश्वराख्यं नियतं नमामि ॥ ९ ॥
जो भगवान् श्री रामचन्द्रजी के द्वारा ताम्रपर्णी और सागर के संगम में असंख्य बाणों द्वारा सेतु बनाकर स्थापित किये गये, उन श्री रामेश्वर को मैं नियम से नित्य प्रणाम करता हूँ
वाराणसी-नाथम-नाथनाथं श्रीविश्वनाथं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ ११ ॥
जो स्वयं आनन्द रूप हैं और आनन्दपूर्वक आनन्दवन अर्थात काशीक्षेत्र में निवास करते हैं, जो पाप समूह को नष्ट करने वाले हैं, उन अनाथों के नाथ काशीपति श्री विश्वनाथ की शरण में मैं जाता हूँ
इलापुरे रम्यविशाल-केऽस्मिन् समुल्लसन्तं च जगद्वरेण्यम् ।
वन्दे महोदारतर-स्वभावं घृष्णेश्वराख्यं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ १२ ॥
जो इलापुर के सुरम्य मन्दिर में विराजमान होकर समस्त जगत के पूजनीय हो रहे हैं, जिनका स्वभाव बड़ा ही उदार है, उन घृष्णेश्वर नामक ज्योतिर्मय भगवान् शिव की शरण में मैं जाता हूँ
Many devotees are unable to undertake a pilgrimage to all twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. In such circumstances, they may regularly recite the Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Stotram along with its meaning. According to the Shiva Mahapurana and Hindu religious tradition, the sincere recitation of this sacred Stotram is believed to bestow spiritual merit comparable to that received through the Darshan of all twelve Jyotirlingas.
The Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Stotram is traditionally attributed to the revered Adi Shankaracharya. Through its sacred verses, he beautifully describes the divine glory of all twelve Jyotirlinga manifestations of Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of twelve sacred Jyotirlingas situated at different holy places across India. According to Hindu religious scriptures and traditional belief, a devotee who receives the Darshan of all twelve Jyotirlingas with sincere faith is blessed with spiritual purification and freedom from the burden of past sins.

I bow to Lord Mallikarjuna, who joyfully resides upon the lofty summit of the sacred Shrishaila mountain, where celestial beings gather in devotion. He is like a divine bridge that helps devotees cross the vast ocean of worldly existence.
Avantikayam Vihitavataram Mukti-Pradanaya Cha Sajjananam.
I offer my reverent salutations to Lord Mahakaleshwar, the Supreme Lord who manifested in the sacred city of Avanti to grant liberation to virtuous devotees. He is traditionally worshipped for protection from untimely death and the fear of mortality.
I praise Lord Omkareshwar, the one auspicious Lord who eternally resides at Mandhata near the sacred confluence of the Kaveri and Narmada rivers. He guides sincere devotees across the ocean of worldly existence and grants them spiritual refuge.
Purvottare Prajvalika-Nidhane Sada Vasantam Girija-Sametam.
I bow to Lord Vaidyanath, who eternally resides with Goddess Girija at the sacred Vaidyanath Dham. His lotus feet are worshipped with reverence by both the Devas and the Asuras.
I seek refuge in Lord Naganath, who resides in the beautiful sacred city situated in the southern direction. Adorned with divine ornaments, He is the one Supreme Lord who blesses sincere devotees with pure Bhakti and spiritual liberation.
Mahadriparshve Cha Tate Ramantam Sampujyamanam Satatam Munindraih.
I praise Lord Kedarnath, the one auspicious Lord who resides near the mighty Himalayan mountains upon the sacred heights of Kedar. Great Sages, Devas, Asuras, Yakshas and divine serpents continually worship Him with devotion.
Yaddarshanat Patakamashu Nasham Prayati Tam Tryambakamishamide॥8॥
I praise Lord Tryambakeshwar, who resides upon the pure summit of the Sahyadri mountains in the sacred region near the River Godavari. According to traditional belief, His holy Darshan brings spiritual purification and removes the burden of sins.
Shri Ramachandrena Samarpitam Tam Rameshvarakhyam Niyatam Namami॥9॥
I regularly bow to Lord Rameshwaram, the sacred Jyotirlinga worshipped and established by Lord Shri Ramachandra near the confluence of the Tamraparni waters and the ocean, where the divine bridge was constructed with countless stones and arrows according to the sacred tradition.
Sadaiva Bhimadi-Pada-Prasiddham Tam Shankaram Bhaktahitam Namami॥10॥
I bow to Lord Bhimashankar, the benevolent Lord Shankara who is eternally devoted to the welfare of His devotees. He is renowned in the sacred region traditionally associated with Dakinis, Shakinis and other supernatural beings.
I seek refuge in Lord Vishwanath, the Lord of Varanasi and the compassionate protector of those without shelter. He is the eternal source of divine bliss, joyfully residing in the sacred Anandavana, and is traditionally worshipped as the destroyer of accumulated sins.
Ilapure Ramya-Vishalake’smin Samullasantam Cha Jagadvarenyam.
I seek refuge in Lord Ghrishneshwar, who shines within the beautiful and magnificent sacred temple of Ilapura and is worshipped throughout the world. I bow to the radiant Lord Shiva whose nature is infinitely compassionate, generous and gracious.
According to Hindu religious tradition, a person who recites this sacred Stotram describing the twelve radiant Jyotirlingas in their proper sequence with sincere devotion may receive the spiritual merit associated with their holy Darshan.
